Mr. Moataz bin Ali Al-Anqari​

Mr. Motaz Ali Alangari serves as Group Chief Investment Officer at stc and chairs the Investment Committee of the Jockey Club of Saudi Arabia’s Board of Directors. He also holds a number of board positions with prominent companies across the telecommunications, technology, financial services and infrastructure sectors, including Vice Chairman of TAWAL Group and Board Member of solutions by stc, stc Bank and the Digital Infrastructure Investment Company. He also serves on a number of committees emanating from these boards. As a member of the Jockey Club of Saudi Arabia’s Board of Directors and Chairman of the Investment Committee, Mr. Alangari contributes to the Board’s deliberations on the Club’s directions, policies, and strategic and corporate matters. He leads the Committee’s work in reviewing the Club’s investment strategy and policy, evaluating investment opportunities, monitoring existing investments and their associated risks, and submitting related recommendations to the Board of Directors. Through these responsibilities, he contributes to growing the Club’s revenues, diversifying its income streams and strengthening its long-term financial sustainability. Mr. Alangari has built an extensive career across the financial and investment sectors, holding a number of senior positions with leading domestic and international financial institutions. These include Executive Director and Head of Investment Banking at Morgan Stanley Saudi Arabia and Head of Investment Banking at Saudi Fransi Capital, as well as senior roles at Samba Capital, Samba Financial Group and the National Commercial Bank. In 2022, he joined stc as Group Chief Investment Officer, drawing on broad experience spanning investment, investment banking, corporate finance and capital markets. Academically, Mr. Alangari holds a bachelor’s degree in Business Systems from the Arab Open University in Saudi Arabia. He also holds a certificate in Finance from the New York Institute of Finance and a Certificate in Financial Management from Cornell University in the United States.
