Taif’s picturesque King Khalid Racecourse has hosted live horse racing since 1965 and is the home of summer racing in the Middle East. The Taif Racing Season 2026 runs from 24 July to 26 September 2026, featuring 20 race nights across 10 weekends. Visitors can enjoy 11 races each evening, alongside premium hospitality, food trucks, family entertainment, and a vibrant summer atmosphere. Racing takes place every Friday and Saturday from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM. Throughout the season, owners, trainers, and jockeys will compete for a total prize fund of SAR 23 million across 200 races, including 160 Thoroughbred races, 40 Purebred Arabian races, and 31 Championship Cups. The season concludes with a spectacular finale on 25 and 26 September, featuring the prestigious Group 3 King Faisal bin Abdulaziz Cup and the Listed Prince Abdullah Al-Faisal Cup for Purebred Arabians, each carrying a purse of SAR 1 million on 25 September, alongside the National Day Cup for Thoroughbreds worth SAR 450,000 on 26 September.
