Racing returns to Taif on October 22
25 September 2025 – Horseracing will return to King Khalid Racecourse in Taif on October 22 for a nine-week season to run until the end of January, The Jockey Club of Saudi Arabia has announced.
Following a highly successful summer campaign which concludes this weekend (September 26 and 27) action will resume next month and will conclude on January 28 2026, two weeks before The Saudi Cup meeting in Riyadh.
A programme of eight races per card will take place every second Wednesday during the season, for a total of 72 races (63 Thoroughbred and nine Purebred Arabian) across nine race days.
Each Taif raceday will then be followed by three days of racing from King Abdulaziz Racecourse, held on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays in Riyadh leading into The Saudi Cup on the weekend of February 13 and 14 2026.
