Almad’agi (KSA) and Adel Alfouraidi proved in a class of their own in the USD$250,000 Sarawat Cup Presented by Saudia.

Forwardly placed for a horse with plenty of stamina, Saudi Arabia’s multiple champion jockey vied for the lead against three others with Aez Alkhatir (KSA) hitting the front first.

Around the final turn, Toufan Najd (KSA) made a move up the inside to challenge for the lead. Almad’agi was poised half a length off the leader's flank and responded to his rider’s urging to surge clear decisively by three and a half lengths from Aez Alkhatir and Azmaat (KSA).

The winning time for Abdulelah Abdul Aziz Almousa’s colt was 1:13.665, with his jockey even having the luxury of celebrating to the crowd passing the line.
